Wenkai Xue's Innovative Design Revolutionizes Public Sanitation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Convenience: Redefining Urban Sanitation

Wenkai Xue, the visionary behind Convenience, has redefined public sanitation with a groundbreaking temporary lavatory design. Incorporating urban sewage, this innovative solution can be placed anywhere with a sewer line and manhole cover, addressing the pressing need for accessible facilities in public spaces.

Convenience's unique features include self-cleaning capabilities on rainy days and a design that ensures the direct discharge of wastewater into sewage wells. This revolutionary approach makes it ideal for congregation plazas, construction sites, and streets lacking public lavatories.

Shaped using plastic injection molding technology, Convenience measures 1300mm in width, 1400mm in depth, and 2000mm in height. The project, initiated in April 2017 at LAFA Communal Facility Design Studio, was completed in January 2018 at the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Industrial Design in LAFA.
