Dragon Boat Festival Snack Gift Box

Pufine Creative has unveiled a limited edition snack gift box inspired by the ancient royal celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival. The design combines traditional folk crafts with modern ideas, aiming to express the festivity of the festival and showcase the artistic beauty of Chinese folk crafts. The gift box is made of industrial platemaking with a sky blue cloth surface, featuring intricate details outlined with golden lines and a three-dimensional metal plate at the center, reflecting high-end quality and cultural significance.

The box, measuring 400mm long, 293mm wide, and 153mm high, opens in opposite directions to reveal exquisite scrolls depicting the ancient royal celebration of the festival. Inside, six long boxes can be combined into a whole scroll or presented separately, resembling a dragon boat ready to set off. This interactive design aims to provide a vivid festival experience and promote cultural heritage.

The project was launched in Wuhan, China, in January 2020, completed in May 2020, and went on sale in China in June 2020. The design team, led by Creative Director Zhang Yanhui, Designer Duan Li, Illustrator Li An, and Technical Director Zhou Xiaoli, overcame the challenge of incorporating traditional painting to depict the festival scene while conforming to modern aesthetic standards.
