Introducing Zhu Xixi, a unique gift box designed by Jin Zhang to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Tiger, combining traditional culture with a modern twist.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jin Zhang's latest creation, Zhu Xixi, is a high-end dim sum gift box designed to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Tiger in 2022. The box features a unique design that combines traditional Chinese culture with a modern and fashionable twist. The inspiration for this design comes from the desire to create a gift box that not only embodies Chinese traditions but also appeals to a younger, more contemporary audience.
The gift box features five tigers to express the Chinese New Year blessing "wu hu lin men," using the similar pronunciation of "tiger" and "blessing" in Chinese. This clever use of idioms and graphics forms a double New Year's greeting, adding a layer of depth and meaning to the design. The bold use of orange and green contrasting colors makes the entire package more fashionable and eye-catching.
Measuring 520*280*50mm, the gift box is printed on ordinary cardboard with a three-dimensional embossing effect to highlight the realistic tiger graphic. The designer intentionally designed the box to be a thin growing strip, with the lid embedded into the bottom box, allowing it to be used as a decorative painting. Additionally, the box contains a line drawing of a tiger that people can color together, enhancing emotional interaction and creating a lasting memento.
Designed in November 2021, Zhu Xixi will be sold in Wuhan, China, in December 2021. The design process involved extensive research to ensure that the five tigers represented different meanings from various regions of China, such as peace, good luck, guardianship, and happiness. This meticulous attention to detail and cultural significance sets Zhu Xixi apart as a truly unique and meaningful gift box.
