Discover the fusion of traditional Chinese aesthetics and modern packaging design in the Yellow Crane Tower water packaging project by Jin Zhang, set to launch in China in October 2023.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yellow Crane Tower water packaging, designed by Jin Zhang, encapsulates the essence of Wuhan, China's culture in a unique and innovative way. Inspired by the region's exclusive culture, the design incorporates traditional Chinese aesthetics, blending paintings and characters to create a one-of-a-kind product.
The packaging features illustrations combined with Chinese characters, representing the city's thousands of years of culture. By breaking the boundaries between text and graphics, the design brings to life the most representative elements of Wuhan, including the iconic Yellow Crane Tower.
Utilizing advanced realization technology, the bottle stickers are minimized to showcase the crystal clear water, allowing consumers to visually appreciate the product's quality. With dimensions of 225mmx60mmx60mm, the design is a harmonious blend of artistry and functionality.
Starting in July 2023 and completed in September 2023, this project is a testament to Jin Zhang's dedication to infusing local cultural characteristics into products. The design process involved in-depth research into the region's culture, with a focus on the Yellow Crane Tower as the core area, resulting in a product that authentically represents urban culture.
Despite the rich cultural heritage of Wuhan, the designer successfully navigated the challenge of narrowing down the focus to highlight the brand while showcasing the city's culture. The result is a product that seamlessly integrates the 3500-year-old culture of Wuhan into the design, strengthening the brand and urban context.
Jin Zhang, also known as Sanbu, is a prominent figure in the design industry, with a track record of creating brand and product packaging designs that combine aesthetic and commercial value. His work has garnered over 130 professional design awards, including the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award for the Yellow Crane Tower water packaging.
